Prevention
Prevention is the most effective and most ecnomical form of healthcare. Care Harbor clinics provide extensive prevention resources to empower the most vulnerable in our communties to lead healthier, more productive lives.
Dental
Dental care is a major need for the underserved. From cleanings and fillings to extractions and other services, Care Harbor provides dental care to those who need it most. An innovative preventive dentistry program helps patients maintain oral health.
Vision
Correct vision can mean the ability to drive, work or see the board at school. Care Harbor provides vision exams and prescription glasses including bifocals and extreme corrections. Eye health exams for non-vision patients diagnose glaucoma, cataracts and other treatable conditions.
Medical
Care Harbor medical exams and evaluations can diagnose diseases before they reach a more critical, less treatable stage. Primary care and specialist physicians,women’shealth, immunizations and screenings make healthcare accessible to the most
at risk in our communities.
Follow-up
Sustainable care is Care Harbor’s mission. Patients requiring further evaluation or treatment are connected to medical homes in their community before they leave the event. They receive follow-up appointments at
Care Harbor for local clinics that can
continue their care.
Healthcare Reform
Care Harbor clinics bring together thousands of uninsured, underinsured and in need individuals – all under one roof at one time. It is a unique opportunity to educate and enroll them into the low cost coverage programs available to them. Care Harbor is meeting the goals of healthcare reform.
Volunteers
Hundreds of local volunteers come together in a Care Harbor clinic. Physicians, dentists, optometrists, nurses and other healthcare professionals join with general volunteers to make health happen. It is an extraordinarily rewarding experience.
Replicability
Care Harbor volunteer training materials, electronic patient record system, online volunteer registration, clinic management software, enronmental system and many other resourcesmake Care Harbor replicable in a variety of venues and settings.
